As you LJ folk know, I am off travelling for a year and I'm currently going through and getting rid of a lot of my stuff (so that I don't _completely_ take advantage of my parent's generosity, and attic space

If you need a place to store it for a year and there's no room at your parents I have enough room to store it for you. I have a maahoosive basment (this is not a euphimism) and tonnes of room at my house and it would be no bother.
On the other hand if you'd quite like to divest yourself of the spare material I could act as a distributor for other people. I'm happy to take whatever other people don't want off your hands and then pass it on to other cosplay peoples as and when they need it. So if people asked for a piece here and a piece there I could take whatever was left over and remind people every few months that there's spare material going free for any upcoming costumes.
Hopefully however you will have someone on your flist who looks at your material and realises they need all those colours in those exact amounts for making a geee-ant my little pony costume or something equally random and exciting.
Oh thank you! I don't want to impose on you and have you storing my things and having to get other people to take things as well, nor do I really want to keep these bits of material. I haven't been cosplaying for a while, and I don't see myself taking it back up when I return.
Anyway, after all that, thank you very much for your offer! If you wanted any particular piece for yourself, please say, there hasn't been any other interest. Most of the pieces aren't very substantial I guess. I think I'll just save pieces for people if they want them specifically and the rest can be ditched. I'm being surprisingly ruthless with things recently lol!
I have a hard time throwing things away, unless I'm moving in which case I become an avenging angel of death to my knick knacks and various collections of accumulated thingamybobs. I cull my possesions by at least a third everytime I move. I once moved three times in about a year and virtually had nothing left at the end of it all. But having lived here for a good while now I've managed to replace all my old crap with new rubbish
( ... )
I'd be happy to give you the red and white t-shirt material (at least I think it's called t-shirt material - it's like cottony and stretchy, I hope I haven't made some huge faux pax lol) and the oriental/chinesey material. I made a cushion out of it, hence the odd, long shape lol. Did you want to pick them up at Minami, if you're going? Or shall we arrange other methods (that sounds like some kind of smuggling operation!)
Also, you didn't sound wanky, I know what you mean! Living in Eastern Ukraine must have been a completely different experience to here, I imagine. Jon and I will either set up a new LJ together, or use these ones. I'm also on facebook and will be updating/posting pics there hopefully, are you on there?
I will indeed by at Minami. I'm looking forward to it, although I'm not sure how much cosplaying I will be doing, I'm mainly going to catch up with people. The only costume I can see getting finished on time is Sue from Grandia.
I am on Facebook, my full name is Louise Gray. There are probably loads of Louise Grays in the world so to help pick me out my profile pic shows me with my lovely pink hair. :D
Friend request sent! You were the first one on the list :).
I'll separate out those pieces of material for you then, and bring them along to Minami. I'm going to be catching up with people too, not cosplaying at all this year - need to save money and I don't have any spare time lol! Looking forward to seeing you, only a month to go now!
You do indeed spy leatherette, you leatherette fiend! You can have the navy and black leatherette - they might be somewhat creased but hopefully you can find a use for them!
Catching up must be had indeed, I think the earliest and last opportunity will be Minami! It's only a month away now, we must make time!
