Was at the lake for the weekend. It was cold and it snowed/slushed last night, but it felt so good to get out of the city and away from all the stressful things around the house, like homework. (And although I took tons of binders to read, they were consciously ignored and they stayed right where I packed them. I will regret that move later this week.) So I slept, played games with my family, went for a pretty long walk to the Ontario border, tried not to spread the plague that I've acquired (it'll be interesting to see if my voice'll last the rest of the student teaching block!), and I knitted.
Finished my eyelash yarn scarf and it's super-soft and fuzzy and feels cozy against my sore throat. I'm very proud of my trendy creation. And I worked on my purling skills. Followed the pattern in my S&B book and made a square with raised bumps making a heart. Now I'm making a back piece for it. When that's done I'll stich the pieces together and stuff it, making a very small pillow. I feel so crafty! :)
