SO. I got back into town yesterday morning, after we missed the last Ferry by five minutes. The plane ride went by quickly, and I developed a hate-hate relationship with a flouncy girl on a school trip, who upon landing proclaimed, 'Woow! It's either really late at night, or really early in the morning!'. It was neither.
We got a free hotel room, and Jordyn and I stayed up watching South Park and eating vegetarian quesadillas, which after a diet of nothing but Cornflakes and the occasional pub meal for a week, tasted like the most amazing thing ON Earth.
Jim was an hour late picking us up, and I didn't get home till two in the afternoon. Devlin was lovely, and had come over the night before, which is when I'd thought I would have been home. There was a joyful reuniting with Katz, Devlin and my cats, and I was dutifully notified of every mess they'd made in the house. I was also drawn to notice that I do have ribs.
I accidently fell asleep at five, which led me to wake up at one am - and I had to resist running around and laughing. That was the general threat throughout the whole trip that cracked me up. "Sarah, don't go to bed early or you'll be up at dawn running around LAUGHING." Haha, people know me so well.
This morning, after going through nearly 500 photos we'd taken on the trip, I wrote a pretty decent song. And when I say 'pretty decent' I mean it's better then all of my other songs. It's so much easier writing things on the piano, even when all I know are the names of the keys.
Tonight I have an interview for a summer job at the Oak Bay Rec Center, teaching acting. After that I have my acting class. I'm still in spaced-out-time-zone-mode, so I sorta wish I could have just ONE day to get my sleep back. Regardless, I am soldiering on, and will try my hardest not to seem vacant during tonight's scheduled events.
SO. The trip was amazing, tiring and absolutely hilarious - and like I said before, I have many pictures to prove it. Those will be up as soon as I have a moment to do so.
Until then, here is an eye witness account of a swan floating out in the Mediterranean Sea.
What's up, swan.
