And I thought I'd seen it all...

Last night around 10:30pm, Dave and I were getting off the Ray Road exit. From time to time there are homeless people on this corner. I've seen quite a few interesting characters around there, including the homeless midget. The homeless person claiming this spot as their own last night was a lady who looked to be in her fifties. Homeless people of any kind always make me sad, but especially women because someone is more likely to mess with her than a young man or even an older man. I know not all homeless people are what they pretend to be, but I know some really are. So, needless to say, this woman really stood out to me and I was very drawn to her. As we got closer, you could see the usual "homeless and hungry" cardboard sign, written with permanant Sharpie marker. Her sign appeared to be flashing and radiating light. My mouth dropped open and I had to ask Dave to make sure he was seeing the same thing. I mean, this isn't something you see every day! He said it looked like it just had tape on it and car lights were being reflected. As we got even closer, I was shocked to see that her sign had flashing, battery-powered lights!!! Whoa!
