PHOENIX -- Two people are dead and a third person in reportedly in critical condition after a man allegedly went on a stabbing rampage in in Ahwahtukee.
Police are trying to unravel what happened, but police spokesman Detective Tony Morales says one possible motive was that the suspect became angry after being fired from a restaurant across the street from his apartment complex.
The man, says Morales, stabbed to death his roomate, then stabbed to death a woman who lives next door.
Morales says the suspect then barged into an apartment occupied by a man and his wife, where the suspect managed to stab the man several times before the couple was able to fight off the attacker with a baseball bat.
After the attack, the suspect either jumped or fell from a second-floor balcony and was taken into police custody shortly thereafter.
The man who was attacked is reportedly listed in critical condition.
