(no subject)
Since it is such a rainy gross day, I couldn't quite motivate myself to get ready early today and go vote right when they opened before I went to work. I decided the best time to do so would be on my lunch break. I IMed Phil and told him my plan. This was a little before noon. He agreed. So I IMed him again at 12:30 to let him know I was leaving. He decides that would be a good time to take a shower. So I had to wait around 15 minutes (he says it wasn't, but it was at least 12!) for him to dry off, get dressed, then pull everything out of his wallet to be sure he has his voter registration card. Then we get there, and there's a huge line. By this time I have about 15 minutes to get my vote on, and head back to work. I was doubtful this would happen, but we get inline anyway to see how quickly it was moving. It was moving okay, then it stopped. We were almost inside the voting area, when I got a peek inside and saw that the line was even longer in there. GAH! So we left. I emailed my teacher for the class (English) tonight and told her I may be late. I think I can afford to miss a little of that class. The lowest grade I've gotten so far was a 95. But dammit, I must vote no on #1. :)
