(no subject)
Never in my life would I have thought I was looking forward to a MONDAY. Phil is supposed to find out if he got the job tomorrow. I'm hopeful and dreading it at the same time. Hopeful because he wants this job, we need him to get this job, yet dreading it because lately things never seem to just work out. We move down here on schedule, but the job he thought he had is not happing. He gets a job right away, I get a job about 6 weeks later, so things are good for about a week until he gets laid off, and then I don't get paid what I was told I was going to. I escape from that evil temp company, and start making decent wages, and Phil gets a job, and I get my mini. Now Phil's not getting paid because it's pure comission, which is just bull. I mean, I've never heard of a comission job that doesn't start you off with a base at least until you start bringing in the sales. The loan he thought was going to close this month, isn't going to, so if he stays there, he won't be getting paid until at least the end of April. So yeah... I hopehopehopehopehope he gets this job. No one can be that unlucky, right?
Today I also got an e-mail update from Better Than Ezra. They're going to be in Louisville in the beginning of May, then two days later they are going to be in Birmingham (Lisa!) but they aren't stopping here. Why not, BTE? Don't you know I love you? Just Thursday I was listening to How Does Your Garden Grow? and thinking how it was one of my essential, can't live without albums. Come see me. I even got Phil to like you. hehe
Oh, and Death Cab for Cutie and Franz Ferdinad are touring together and also not coming here. Teases. Actually, they aren't coming close like BTE, so not really teasing I suppose. :)
