I feel like I need to re-watch about fifteen times more just to convince myself it actually happened. It was like a whole kaleidoscope of OMG!Sways. But yes, satisfied is a good word.
(I had no time for a re-watch beforehand, so enjoyed the condensed version by revisiting your MFEO post instead. So much goodness!)
I feel like I need to rewatch about fifteen more times if I want to get the plot to come together. Heh!
I know that a lot of people were worried about whether V/L would be endgame, but I was always pretty sure they would be (because Rob knows exactly who donated to his Kickstarter and he wants to continue producing stuff in this universe. Any other choices than open-ended or V/L were off the table when you took those variables into consideration), but I worried about if it would be even remotely satisfying. And I gotta say, it was.
MFEO! I looked at it a few months ago and I think a few images had gone missing from LJ's scrapbook. I should really fix that post, it's one of my favorites ever.
I suspect after fifteen re-watchings there may not be much left of the plot. ;)
I thought we would get to a vaguely pro-V/L place, but only in a, his initials on the alarm clock kind of a way. I confess, naval uniform and epic-speech replay over sunrise by the sea was almost overkill for me. (He didn't remember it at the time! I'm intrigued to know when he was brought into the loop.) But the rest satisfied my shippy heart in ways it didn't even know it could be satisfied. It felt right, and very worth waiting for.
Also, Okay, so I always HATED the idea of Veronica in the FBI, and Veronica as a high-powered attorney isn't exactly a step up from that (a prosecutor, maybe), so to see her following a different path, the path she started on, was so immensely satisfying..
This, this, this, this.
Veronica has to be the underdog. If she's not, she's basically just a bully.
I confess, naval uniform and epic-speech replay over sunrise by the sea was almost overkill for me. That was pretty cheesy. I know 'shippers love the epic speech, and I do too, but only because it fit teenage drunk!Logan so well. Adult Logan saying that in all seriousness would be pretty cringeworthy. So my fanwank is that it was something that they discussed during that first semester in college, maybe even made fun of. But now it's almost poignant after all that time apart. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
You remind me, where was Back-up? Aw, now you made me sad for the most likely dead Back-up.
