I totally buy into CARY'S long-time grievance against the firm (he's been treated abominably, as were most of the fourth years when their partnerships were yanked from under them), but Alicia? Will was right, she was lucky to get a job at the beginning of season 1, no one would touch her with a ten foot pole because of Peter, so I think she does owe Will something. Not staying at the firm forever, but at the very least not plotting behind their backs while staying three weeks and collecting client files and continuing to try to steal clients.
I think the other fourth years had every right to be assholes. Alicia? Not so much.
But the worst part by far is how she reacted to Peter and his shady dealings with approval, that totally colored my feelings on her actions retroactively. Like, blackmailing the client to take them on and she's all smiles? Wow. I'm pissed about that because if there is one trait that Alicia has always had it has been her moral backbone. And it just disintegrated in this episode. Which makes me wonder, was it ever there at all?
