Chuck was a little rocky early in the season but it has thoroughly redeemed itself for me in the last two or three episodes. I won't go on about it though, as just because I enjoy it doesn't mean everyone else will :) To each their own!

I'm about to jump ship on Survivor as well. I was solidly invested in Rob. I had loved him in past seasons but was particularly impressed with his new 'mature' outlook. I think getting married and having a child really affected his outlook in a positive way and it was nice to see him try compromise. Plus, he was an amazing leader for the Villains. He's really wonderful at inspiring and leading a team, whereas Russell only specializes in dividing them. I was crushed when Rob was kicked off and I'll only continue to watch as long as Colby is around. As soon as he's gone (Which I suspect won't be too far in the future) I'm giving up on the show. It's not simply because I find most of the players morally reprehensible, but I think I've seen some of the worst game-playing this season. The majority of players seem so consumed with the future (i.e. "Can I beat him in the final two") that they can't seem to conceive of a way in which strong, talented players are important to employ and keep around *now* in order to get to the final two *Sigh* Sloppy and stupid game-play, if you ask me.

The Cowboys and The Cops are my two favourite teams this season on The Amazing Race! Both teams seem to be very well-meaning and I love what they bring to this season. Catie and Brent actually don't bother me as much as The Brothers (I can't be bothered looking up their names) or Carol & Brandy. As stupid as they are, I was sad to see Jeff and Jordan get eliminated a while back because of the sheer entertainment value they provided :P

I've seen some spoilers about what happened in the last few episodes, but all I feel when I read them is complete apathy. And I've pretty much always felt that way about the show. What I wanted was intriguing storylines, not the writers playing keep-away with the 'shippers.

I only ever watched Survivor for Rob (I was kind of sick of it already by the time it made its way across the pond, I'd already had three or four seasons of it at that point), so when I heard he was booted I didn't even bother to watch his last episode.

I love the Cowboys, but the Cops lost a lot of my respect by teaming up with Brent and Catie in the last leg. They are just stupid beyond words and I can't condone that kind of move. Thankfully, the Cowboys left their stupid streak in the Seychelles, so I could root for them once again. And since I actually agree with Carol and Brandy's assessment of Catie and Brent, and since they hate those "mean lesbians" so much, I can't bring myself to root against them. I think they're pretty sucky racers, though, so I'm fine with them going any time now.

The one thing that drives me crazy about Chuck is how the shippers have reduced it to little more than a show about Chuck/Sarah. While I do enjoy that aspect of the show in small doses, it is the supporting cast (Casey, Captain Awesome, Lester, etc) that truly makes the show a gem, in my opinion. I think Season 3 has failed in highlighting some of the lesser characters, but thankfully they have started to remedy that in the last couple of episodes. I was disgusted to hear some "fans" declare they would boycott the show until the show began to focus more heavily on Chuck and Sarah again. I love to ship couples as much as the next TV addict, but to reduce the show to nothing more than one love story is ridiculous, and I think some of the Chuck fan-base can really be too much after awhile and tend to take away from my enjoyment of the fandom.

I was burned out on Survivor long before this "Heroes vs. Villains" shtick too, which would explain why the only people I really recognized were the older racers like Rob, Colby, Steph and Tom. Most of the time I'm left scratching my head as to where they pulled these other 'major' (And I use that term very loosely) players from. I can't remember the last season I've watched prior to this one but decided to give it a chance given Rob's participation. It was pretty disgusting to see Russell orchestrate Rob's demise in the game, I envy you not having to sit through that episode. If I could go back in time...

I think what I hate about Carol and Brandy isn't their pathetic feud with Catie and Brent, but their overall negativity and bickering. It seems they can't go more than one or two legs without jumping down the other's throat, and when compared with the Cowboys and Cops, who are relatively positive and a joy to watch whether they're succeeding or failing at any given activity, I just find Carol and Brandy hard to take. They constantly boast to be 'great' racers, but they continually make bad choices in regards to challenges and other aspects of the race. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we'll be seeing the last of them very soon!

Jumping in: I am not very active in any fandom at this point, but I would be very sad if the Chuck fandom is all about Chuck/Sarah. Any "good" fandom should know that getting the main ship together is the death knell of the show. ;-)

The interesting thing about Chuck this season it they planned this first arc because they weren't sure if they would get a full season, so last week wrapped the arc up nicely. I am excited to see what the back six holds, and again they are on the bubble for next season. *crosses fingers*

Have you tried Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution yet? It's a show Jack and I watch together. :)

Is it sad that I'm only thinking that the writers will now screw up Chuch/Sarah again because they can't possibly have them together when they're making actual episodes? I mean, I trust the Chuck writers more than most TV writing teams in terms of plot and character (or maybe I just don't care enough?), but there pretty much isn't a TV show on the air today where a 'ship isn't getting shafted because the writers still have no idea how to write a compelling relationship so they shy away from it at every turn.

I saw a few of the episodes he did for British TV. I wasn't amazed by it, it's more like background noise.
