I just changed my default icon. Now, for some, that's not a big thing, but I rarely change it. I'd had the one I replaced for something like two years, and the one before that for at least one. The reason I change them so rarely is because I have to really like the icon. I don't think I've ever had a default that I haven't already had in use for at

Back to Oz babble!
I decided not to spam your LJ, but I was going to post again about how there were probably more depressing things than Ortolani in the pilot -- and those things don't go away. (The pain, the death, the rapes -- yeah, those don't go away. Not to mention the fact that the very *premise* is depressing, what with it being set in a prison, and most of the characters have very little hope to go on.) I guess I focused on Dino in the first episode because I was expecting him to become a main character, and I didn't really have any idea what I was getting into. Plus, the scene with him and his wife and kids and his hand against the glass really got me.
As for season one -- as a fan of the show, I'm glad you're going to watch the whole thing, but it is going to get more upsetting, so... take it slow, I guess?
I get what you mean about means of escape -- that's certainly what I've been using it for the past few weeks -- and I'm not really sure what to say about Oz in that respect, except that I wasn't really invested in it until episode three or four. I don't know what what made it click then, because I'm pretty sure those episodes are the most depressing of the whole bunch, and I do get what you mean about things being too depressing. (To this day, I won't rewatch "Truly, Madly, Deeply" despite how much everyone I know loves it; it's just too painful.) And randomly, I'm also kind of a bad fan, as I fast-forward through most Hill's monologues. Like the guy, hate the cheese.
Okay! Babble done for the moment!
