Yay! I got more happy about this than I thought I would, but there's a part of me that thinks season 2 might turn out to be just a not so good season in the middle of all the great ones. Who knows?

There is always the sophomore slump to blame for season 2. At least this way they have loads more time to make the show great again. Right?

Oh, this was clearly a cruel device to let me know what my reaction to a pick-up would be (not as blah as I predicted). I see right through you, uh... people responsible for this.

The depressing thing about a possible cancelation is the thought of season 2 as our last season. Of course, season 3 could always be a thousand times worse (I'm a ray of sunshine), but come on, they can do better than this.

I'm also fearing a third season might not be as good, but that's because I think season 2 should be teaching them things and the creative team doesn't seem to think a lesson is necessary. At the very least they should learn that the early days of a season is the time to reintroduce the characters and make sure the audience knows who everyone is. Season 2 failed miserably at that for the first half of the season, in my opinion. You kind of have to set the baseline, not assume that everyone is all caught up.

Woohoo!! Though now I'm really curious about what direction they'll take with a third season... after Veronica (and everyone else) graduates.

Oh! And they've picked up Smallville as well... I wonder if there's any truth to the rumor that the folks there were trying to find a way to keep JM on board.

Apparently the information was "misinterpreted" and we're still on the bubble. Such a shame, but I was really surprised by the early news. And at least it's a good sign, right?

I just wonder exactly how they plan to increase the viewership of them.

Apparently the article was wrong, but I'd be curious about that as well. Except the VM numbers should go up just simply by virtue of being seen in more homes.
