Well, actually, that's not true. Not yet. But as soon as I download anything I am, as of today, breaking the law. Funny thing is, it's illegal for anyone to try to find me as I'm downloading, since IP addresses are now considered to be protected information, just like social security numbers and the like. It's kind of funny how they're making laws simultaneously that counteract one another.
And another funny (as in: enraging) thing is that they're also implementing a tax for mediums for electronic files (such as blank CDs, MP3 players, etc) at the same time as they're making the downloading of said files illegal. So in other words, you're paying a tax for something you're not even allowed to do! Talk about having your cake and eating it too. *grumble, grumble*
In other news, I'm strongly considering downloading a client and joining the
Internet Scrabble Club. Looks like fun!
