So I've been posting a lot lately about nothing that you'd know about or that I'd want you to. But yeah, she's the greatest. Moving on...
Back to when my posts used to mean something...y'know..relevant to the issues of the world...
Front page of the citizen today, top of the page, 2 articles right next to each other; 1st: Bush claims that Al Qaeda is going to set up an empire stretching from Spain to Southeast Asia. Uhhhh... I just got a lot stupider from reading that headline. His administration is using fear as such a blunt tool (butter knife, perhaps?) to sway people's support/ fanaticism, and one could argue easily, bolstering strong opposition around the globe. A terrorist network is going to start an empire, how the fuck does that work? Tell me. These people are being demonized beyond the realm of all reason. Not Al Qaeda either, who gives a fuck about those bastards. But George W. Bush has outright claimed that the means of which Al Qaeda would construct this empire was by rallying the Muslim masses to action. Think: Al Qaeda's been around since ... well the 80's basically, don't you think they've tried that? Bin Laden already tried to rally the muslim peoples to his cause, first he spoke of "overthrowing tyrannical western supported regimes" (cause he has/had any connection to Saddam? basically his connection is that he's Arab.) He had support of a vast majority with this. Then bin laden spoke of "replacing those tyrannical governments with extreme muslim fundamentalist ones" See... that's where Osama all of his backing from...anyone. Even the most extreme Muslim governments like Saudi Arabia aren't extreme enough for his liking. I mean you can't even go to Saudi Arabia unless you're going on the Hajj or have some actual business there. So this could be seen as a statement declaring war on and dooming the Muslim population everywhere to live in strife. The statements made by "Mr Bush" are less than comforting to anyone who isn't an a) fundamentalist christian b) venture capitalist c) a neo-conservative. Stated more solidly, what was said has a horribly xenophobic underlying.

If you belief that the honorable mr bush is anything less than a christian zealot, consider this: The following article in the citizen, right beside the first, was how mr bush attributed his invasion of iraq and afghanistan to recieving a message from god to do so. Which brings us completely full circle. He's calling Al Qaeda zealots and threats to humanity, who would build an empire from Spain to Southeast Asia, because building and securing this empire wouldnt be utterly impossible for even america and china combined let alone a terrorist network, right? So he's not trying to justify his own nation's imperialism through the same means as al qaeda here is he? ... obviously.

I came to an interesting thought this morning, reading these articles.... If god is really what these fundamentalists claim he is, if god tells all of these people to do terrible things to others and to go on crusades, all through history we encounter the same conclusion: God in this manifestation is an international war criminal of the utmost degree, responsible for the deaths of countless millions of innocent lives. Thus God should be held accountable, and tried by the World Court for his crimes against humanity. If he is by some miraculous feat, unable to attend his trial, representaives from all of the fundamentalist groups of the world will be called in to represent this entity that they claim to be so close to and in touch with. It is only fitting that they should give money from their tax free organizations that exploit people's deepest and most sacred beliefs for profit, as an atonement for their lords great sins. The money will be distributed among all those who have ever been a victim of this "God".

Audioslave tomorrow. So tired. goooodnight
