Update #2

Hm... so ended up leaving at 10pm got to Lake Chelan @ 3am, and spent the night at someones house.

*WARNING: following not animal friendly*
Day 4 : we went out @7am to a Pitts Game Ranch another hour+ drive from the house we spent the night. There were 8 of us and only 2.5 real hunters, Ben, Trevor, and somewhat Jason. Trevor went over basic safety since none of us read the sheet or e-mail sent by Ben. Once there we signed in and drove out to a secluded part of the property. We set up the clay pigeon slinger and practice shooting on them, waiting on the people to bring up the 40 birds we had bought. Each of us got 3 tries, I hit 2/3, missing my first shot. After that the birds had been captured, put in a cage, and brought to us. We started by taking the 2 quail out (small birds), and lost them when they flew way off. Then we took out some of our slightly larger birds, chucks. The first two got lost and finally we found one but couldn't get it to fly. It just ran against the floor the whole time. So we just shot it on the floor. So first dead was all Chris (my brother). After that we let more go and searched for em but came up empty. Ben and Trevor wanted to track them down but the rest of us wanted the more "fast food" version, so we started to just grab them out and throw one at a time and watch it. So we didn't lose it. But then we noticed a huge flaw in the birds. Either because of how it was raised or because it was raining, the birds were not flying. We couldn't seem to startle them either. So someone came up with the idea of just tossing them up and shooting them. So quite a few of them went that way. Just one person tossing up, and 5 people shooting. after half were dead we sat down and had lunch. when i went to take off the vest i was wearing i noticed my hunting jacket was soaking through with blood, where the birds were stored, and got on my sweater. So i took both off, which was fine now that it stopped raining. after we ate, we shot some more clay pigeons then went back to the birds. finally down to our last few we got some that flew and were having a more sportsman hunting time. After the last were killed we finished of the clay pigeons and decided to "breast" the birds where we were. Breasting equaled stepping on the birds' wings and pulling on the feet, basically pulling it inside out. Then grabbing out the breast meat, checking for pellets and putting it in a bag. In the end we killed and breasted 18/40 we bought and it was a lot of fun. The clay pigeons were fun too. After we went back to ben's and ate hamburgers/hotdogs that his family prepared, and ben prepared some of the pheasant/chuck meat we attained. We, later, went to someones house and fit 7 people into a jacuzzi. Then drove back to seattle. We hunted for about 12 hours, and got back home about 3am. Was definitely an amazing time.

Day 5 : Woke up, showered, brushed teeth. Went to church and got prophesized upon, and have decided to get baptized this sunday. I've always believed in God and have opened up to him, but i was like the closet believer that never told anyone, afraid of what they would think. After spending time up here it has definitely changed my mind on that position, along with a lot of other things. Anywho, later I did some work for my brother, and then went to his fiance's house. We ate food she made, and proceeded to play board games that were awesome(Clue: The Museum Caper)! And now I'm here writing all this up. Maybe I'll make a post on the differences of california and here later... probably not. Probably leave that for when i get back.

I'm really excited up here, everything is quite amazing and it's awesome to see my brother.

<3 you all guys/gals

Peace~
