It's hard to believe that in a week a new school year will begin for the last time. For the most part, we've all grown up in Mansfield with the same people and the same memories. Remember the blizzard of '96 on April Fool's Day? Or how about the mysterious cafeteria food at Jordan/Jackson? Remember when Jordan/Jackson was actually two schools, and then one year someone had a crazy idea to merge the two and create a whole new school with a whole new mascot (Jordan/Jackson Jets...good one). Remember how we all knew -at least we all thought we knew- Ms. Principe's secret to being so skinny (which included routine trips to the restroom). Remember in 8th grade when Katie Kiley sang "I'll be there for you" during her speech for treasurer? Remember Mercedes (enough said)?
Basically what I'm trying to say is wherever we end up next year, just know that these last few years have been amazing and that I don't know where or who I would be without any of my friends. Let's make this year unforgetable.
What's even harder to believe is that in a week I'll be 18. Old much?
