So Kenny is selfish. When she dumps him and he's spending his nights alone - he will remember what you both shared. He will probably attempt to come back - I could easily see this happening.
Moving on so quickly though - do you really have to have another man in your life to forget the pain and hurt you experienced with the first one? This could easily backfire regardless of how wonderful you think the new guy is. Try to remember you're extremely vulnerable right now. What you should have is close friends helping you through this tough time in your life. Men can smell vulnerabilities like a wolf smells rabbits.
What this certainly was... a learning experience. Now as a result of what he did - you will be more on guard to protect your heart and trust your instincts more - a valuable lesson learned in a painful way. When you eventually do find the man that takes your breath away and you both fall madly in love with one another - you will think back to those situations which brought you pain and be thankful that he did you such a huge favor of fucking it all up and moving on to the whore he's sleeping with.
When he's laying there next to her, already bored, and she's already cheating on him with someone else - you will be able to look at him and instead of laugh - see him for the pathetic person he really is and was all along. He was just an actor and a selfish ass at that - remember this. He lies about his feelings about her - all along I might add - because he wants to hide his selfish nature. He wants to hide his lies and most of all, he wants to avoid a confrontation and argument with you.
He did you a fucking favor. Had he stayed longer, more damage was possible. Thankfully it was only a year of your life. I'm sure in the future, you will choose them a LOT more carefully - one could only hope.
About her? Well, women are like that unfortunately - not all of them, but some are very territorial. For her, I would bet it was mostly her ego. She wanted to steal a man because it gave her power and the ability to show others what she can do. In the end, where she ends up is lonely and depressing, down right empty. No one wants to be friends with someone like that. She will get hers and don't worry, she will do it all to herself. I know many women just like her. She will grow bored of him and move on because it was more about the chase.
