This was the first time in three Founder's I went. People say it was the worst one yet, but I thought it was fun. My farmers tan is TEN times worse. And my face is sunburnt.
We made friends with a carnie named Manuel and he literally let us stay us this one ride like over twenty times in a row. He would spin us sometimes. But then people started getting mad. When it was just me and Jenn, we met a seven-year-old who told us to call him "DJ Screw" (oh my!) and probably a ten year who told us her life story. "I had a family member die yesterday and I still wanted to go to Founder's and my mom made me cry last night because I wanted her to go with me but she needed to help out and I have the last three songs they played on CD and blah blah blah." She said she was close to the guy that died but didn't seem it. Kids are very... open. and odd. On this other ride this guy was like "no ride-o" because the guy was drunk. The guy got off and proceeded to drink. How nice.
I always thought people stereotyped carnies but I came to this one... and all those things were true.
The spin ride I went on a billion times gave me four disgusting pus-y blisters and ripped off some of my skin. It burns.
Anyway. Small-town carnivals are cool.
