Okay So I know I just Posted but...
I've taken on the quest to read Questionable Content from the beginning. See the post before this for more distracting details that involve listening to indie music, feeling like I'm Faye, and loving the guy that makes the damn strip.
ANY WHO,
he posts a news thing at the bottom of each strip and he's said on more than 1 occasion that it was his favorite strip ever. I just read #394 where he admitted this again... this is the 4th time he's said that (not that I'm keeping track or anything).
Because of this i've decided to keep a tally of how many times Jeph (the artist/creator/whatever you'd like to call him) notes that it is his favorite strip. As of right now we are at 4.
Carry on good citizens of LJ.... carry on I shall continue on my quest to read all of QC (i'm about to reach #400 on the 2nd day). Screw thyself homework... webcomics and other forms of nerdery need my attention much more.
Side note: I wish I had a Steve in my life. I've also Decided that Gabi is like my half-pint(from the cake batter strip alone #20), My Bunny Rabbit (Ellen) is nothing like the Ellen in the strip but more like Marten (but with a better sex life), and that I don't have enough Iron and Wine in my life.
Side Note 2: I want a Mythic Slaughterbeast shirt. I may make one, I have the mad stenciling skills. Also, I don't see why people like Ratatat, explain this please. (10:07pm)
Side Note 3: Still reading and I'm at #443. I'm now using QC to describe my love life. "...Rhombus of Rejection" thanks to Steve and from #443 "... Sarlacc Pit of Platonic Frustration" courtesy of Dora. I swear to God if a hot dude/chick made a Star Wars reference while talking about a crappy love life, i'd probably jump their bones. Not gonna lie. Oh yeah, I'm trying to go as Boba Fett this year for Halloween... But i'm gonna make a pre-halloween post here eventually. Back to reading. (10:41pm)
Side Note 4: I'm officially going to marry this man (the creator of QC that is). Star Wars and Hieronymus Bosch references? The man appeals to my nerdy Star Wars side and the side of me that studied Art History. I bet he's also got some wicked facial hair that would make me rip at my trousers... I need to meet this man shake his hand asap. I'm at #459. (11:17pm)
Side Note 5: I'm slowing down as I read and talk to Emily. But a Princess Bride reference was just made... and I'm a happy little nerd. Le sigh... I need to marry him now and not just shake his hand and refrain from jumping his bones. I now will actually jump his bones. I'm now realizing that I friended him on livejournal and if he ever actually reads his fans journal's randomly and chose mine I seem like a TOTAL creeper. Granted, I'm kinda okay with it but yeah.... I'm a creeper. I'm at #482. (12:09am)
Last and final. Side Note 6: I've reached #500 of QC in just 2(ish) days. It's my new crack (if you couldn't tell) and I've now realized it's time to focus on that stupid paper for tomorrow. Plus I just wanted to reach #500 before sleep. (12:47am)
I must don my Journalism pants, grab my glasses, and pretend to be happy to interview strangers at the Pabst mansion tomorrow. If ANYONE wants to be interviewed be at the Pabst Mansion around 2-3 and we will get our learn and our interview on. This is why I'm switching to history...
Sleep time for the, nerdy injured girl. She must be rested for Journalism papers, halloween express trip, and buying a new finger splint at walgreens.
