Jakotsu's ears pricked up as he heard a twig snap. That sound was almost immediately overruled, however, by the voice of that odd little green thing again. He blinked furiously through the smoke but he still couldn't see. He heard a swish and

He took to the air and looked down. The purple haze stopped just before where the wide-eyed Rin was watching. Taking Rin to a safe place and leaving would be the easiest route, but it would also be deemed as an escape, as though he needed Jaken as a diversion.
Ready to destroy the abrupt opponent once and for all, Sesshoumaru swooped downwards and picked the girl up in his arms. "When I say run, you run," he reprimanded her lowly. His ears pricked up and he turned around to face the direction of his opponent's voice. He took a step toward him and was pulled over slightly by Jaken struggling and squirming with his clothing still in Jakotsu's hand.

He saw a glint of the winding sword carried by his enemy and leapt into the air. Bearing Toukijin, he allowed himself to come crashing down upon the undead man, meaning to end it at that moment.
Play? This is no game.

After checking to make certain he would not injure anyone else in the blast, Jaken slammed down his staff and aimed for Jakotsu.
