Mega:Secret Headquarters:Attn:Tai-San

May 05, 2004 22:49

Mega stood in his usual spot, in front of the monitors, arms crossed over his chest, jaw ticking as he watched the streets. It was a quiet day, the color wars were mild at best, and people were going about their business as if it was previrus times. That would do no good, no good at all. Mega snapped his fingers and Roger appeared, "Yes, sir ( Read more... )

Tai-San visibly jumped as Mega came into the room, taking the helmet from her, "I wasn't going to put it over my hair Mega," she gave him her best droopy eyed look, "Why won't you give me one of the new units?" She knew she was whining a bit, but she was trying to do it in the cute way that Mega always responded well to. "If you gave me one of those new prototypes, I could wear it with wet hair, it wouldn't be so bulky, and I could always look my best for you," Tai-San moved towards him, swaying her hips a bit, readjusting the towel wrapped around her body. "I could get dressed, or," she stood before him, pressing her left hand against his chest, her right hand moving up to caress the side of his face, pushing her body into his. "I could get you undressed," she stood on the balls of her feet, reaching her head up and drawing his face down so that her lips were inches from his, looking into his eyes. She may not be in love with Mega, not really, but she had loved him once, and if she could convince him that she still did, he'd give her anything, this she was sure of.

Mega looked down into the eyes of Tai-San, but he could tell that she wasn't all there, and that she was only thinking of her next fix. Mega didn't flinch or move or respond, and then he was grabbing her by the wrists, suddenly, and he pulled her closer. "I won't give you one of the prototypes because they aren't ready yet. They aren't for general distribution and we haven't had a lot of luck in getting enough parts together to mass produce them. Now," he lowered his voice, moving even closer to her face, "get dressed. We have important things to discuss," Mega let her go with a bit of force, watching her move back from him. He moved to sit in the office chair in front of the computer stand, crossing his arms over his chest, keeping a close eye on Tai-San, intent on watching her dress herself. She meant none of her words or intentions, Mega knew all too well that she had long ago fallen out of love with him, once she'd caught sight of Lex, even after she'd seen him with Siva, she had only been able to think of him, and her nature had run cold. Mega knew, and it irritated him to no end, but as long as he had her under his thumb that's all he cared about. She was imperative to his next part of the plan, and having her complete trust, and dependency upon the Paradise program, was the key to getting what Mega wanted.

Tai-San reeled back on her feet, stumbling a bit as she was dizzy a lot of the time anyway, but the force of his push backwards sent her flying back. She caught herself, a lot of people underestimated the strength that Mega had. Just because he was a "nerd", or a "computer geek" didn't mean that he didn't work out, in fact the opposite was true, and he had a lot more strength than others gave him credit for. Tai-San stood there, right hand to her mouth, fingertips on her lip, looking at him with slight fear and loathing, she hated when he rejected her, but most of all she hated when he denied her things. She stomped her foot and crossed her arms over her chest, pouting and standing there, watching him watch her. How could he do that? He wouldn't let her play, and he wouldn't give her a new headset that would make her life easier! He was so unfair! Tai-San walked to the closet, the door was already open, and she pulled a clean outfit from the hangers, stomping back over to the bed before dressing. She slipped into her undergarments, hating Mega for watching as she stood there completely nude in front of him while she dressed, but she didn't let it show on her face. She slipped into her Black Silk Flower Pattern Capri's, and then pulled her Black Corset Lace Top Halter, sitting on the bed to slip into her Black and Cork Wedge Platform Sandals. When she was dressed, she walked over to her vanity, sitting down to brush out her still damp hair, then applied her tribal markings, three simple white V shaped markings on her forehead with a blue dot in the middle. She turned on her vanity chair and cocked her head to the side, "I had my hair done, do you like it love?"

Mega watched as if detached, as if he could care less about her hissy fit, but inside he was laughing disgustedly at her. She was not the same girl he had reprogrammed, of course not, he had changed her, but in some ways it wasn't for the better. That and the Paradise addiction on top had changed her again, and she was this strange hybrid of who she used to be and what she was now, it annoyed him to no end. Which was better? The carefree philosophical Tai-San who was in love with Lex but would do anything to help herself, or this...brat of a woman? He wasn't so sure either excited him anymore, not when there were women like Java in the world, strong and confident. Mega shook these thoughts out of his head and looked to Tai-San as she asked about her hair, and he uncrossed his arms, leaning forward to put his hands on his knees, calculating his response. "It's very nice. I liked the braids, but this suits you as well," he said carefully, slowly, as sincerely as he could muster. "Now, we must talk. I have a job for you Tai-San," Mega tilted his head ever so slightly to the left and pursed his lips gently. "Do you think you could handle a mission of your own? Do you remember your programming?"

Tai-San watched him with those half closed eyes again, a soft smile on her now cherry red lips, but just barely. She stood up and walked towards him, her hips swaying in her tight capri pants, and she stopped before Mega, a hand on his cheek, falling to the floor to kneel before him, "Yes my love, I know I could handle a mission. Is it a reality space mission?" She couldn't help herself, those were the only ones she'd ever gone on since the downfall of the Technos, they could be fun, but sometimes they could be really scary too, either way, she enjoyed both of them. Tai-San put her hands on Mega's, over his knees, looking up innocently at him. "What will it be this time? Virt wrangling? Getting the secret computer program in the alloted amount of time? I can handle anything you throw at me, you know that," she sat there, eyes bright and waiting for him to tell her exactly what he wished of her, trying to look innocent and willing. She'd probably do anything for Mega, as long as she got her hook up, her fix every day. "Don't you think," she trailed a finger across the back of his hand, "That a new headset, the prototype, would really help with my mission?" It was worth a try at any rate.

Mega sat there, his lips pursed in annoyance, his jaw ticking away in frustration, grinding his teeth a little, oh how she grated on his nerves. His eyes narrowed at her, she was always only after her next fix, she was a junkie, he couldn't stand her anymore, he had to get her out of here, to send her on her mission once and for all. He took her hands in his and pulled her up so that she was on her knees, getting as close to her face as he could get as he leaned down. "Listen to me, this is a real mission Tai-San, no reality space, so no helmet, no prototype," he lowered his voice to an angry growl, "and stop asking for one," he pushed her back onto her butt and stood up, walking away from her towards the door before spinning around. "Get up, listen to me like the Techno you once were. This is a serious mission, and I want you to prove your worth or I am going to take your precious VR away from you once and for all," he narrowed his eyes and stood there, waiting for her to comply.

Tai-San blinked as he pulled her up onto her knees then threw her back, she was getting tired of him doing that, always pulling her in and shoving her away, "Mega," she whined, "Why do you always do that? It hurts you know," she complained, turning to watch him walk away, then getting up from her seated position to stand up as he demanded it, slipping into the old Techno headspace he'd programmed into her, standing up straight at attention. "Yes sir, I am here to please you sir," she didn't want her VR taken away, and whatever this mission was she was sure she could carry it out. "I will do what is asked of me Mega, whatever it is," and she meant it, she had to have her VR, and if getting out of this room to do monitoring or whatever it was he wanted her to do, what she was trained to do, would get her more VR time in the end, she would do it. Anything.

"Good, very good, now, listen carefully and don't speak unless I ask you a question," he instructed, standing at attention as she did, thinking of how to give her this in order form instead of opinion. If he gave her orders it would settle in better, and the Techno part of her brain, the conditioned part of her brain would take over and make sure she carried it out properly. "Tai-San I have a very important mission for you. You are needed as my personal spy, there is a particular group of people I need for you to infiltrate. You are to go into their headquarters and blend in, join them as if you are one of them, and keep a close eye on everything that happens. You are to come back here and report on them when you can, as often as you can, without getting caught. When you have something important and imperative to report, I will grant you one session of VR per tidbit of information. You must never lead anyone back here to our headquarters, and if you are caught as a spy I will have you deleted. You are on your honor, you are never to disclose anything having to do with this organization or me, and as far as everyone is concerned we never had a relationship," he paused and tilted his head to look at her over the top of his glasses. "Do you understand your mission?"

Tai-San listened quietly, soaking in the information, listening carefully to her mission. It had her nervous, it sounded very dangerous, and if what if she couldn't get any information? How long would she have to go without VR at a time if she couldn't get back here? What if she ended up going through withdrawal like she had the last time Mega had restricted her VR use? Tai-San considered all of this, but she couldn't find it within herself to refuse her mission, there was something in her brain that made it necessary for her to take on and accomplish this mission. "Yes, sir, I understand," she paused, had he mentioned the organization yet? "Um, what organization am I going to be infiltrating sir? What will I need to blend in and is there any particular information you are in search of?"

Mega eyed her as he took slow, calculated steps in her direction, "That is classified information Tai-San, and before I give it over to you I need to know," he circled her slowly, his eyes boring into her head, watching her face, watching her for any movement, "can I trust you, Tai-San?" Mega stopped in front of her, a foot away, eyes locked on hers. He would tell her, he knew he could trust her for he had the one thing she wanted most: reality space access. She wasn't going to find that anywhere in the city, and she wasn't going to be able to hide her addiction to it from the group she was about to infiltrate. She'd have to come back here for her every fix, and in order to get it, she'd have to have information worth trading. However, he wanted to hear it from her, as a part of the programming he had done to her, he knew this would trigger things inside of her that would guarantee she'd become the ruthless spy he needed her to be.

Tai-San kept her eyes locked forward, only letting them focus when he was back in front of her. "It goes without saying Mega," she replied, of course he could trust her, how could he even ask? She'd given up so much for him in the past, let them do things to her that she would normally rail against, brought her to her knees. Truthfully it had been because VR had changed her mind for her, had reprogrammed her to be a different person, but somewhere deep down inside she still lived, and someday she would overcome this. For now, however, she was as trustworthy as the next Techno, and she would do anything for the greater good. Tai-San knew, even though she was forever wandering in reality space, she knew that the Technos had done some good for the City, and she knew that Mega was trying his best to carry on, to get the Technos back where they'd been before. She believed in his ideas and she would do anything to help him carry out his plans.
