Oh, dear. Say it twice and I'm there, I assure you. Me and Mon talked about going up to Scotland but we haven't decided much yet, but if we had the chance to stay with you it'd be like WOAH CHEAP. TAKE THE CHANCE. so yeah, we would. I'd love to go, my parents have been talking for twenty years about the green grass of Scotland and the beauties of Edinburgh. And also, I need a native to show me how to pronounce 'Edinburgh' because every single English teacher I've had pronounced it differently and I'm at a lost when I try to say it. So yeah, if you're serious serious and your flatmates are okay with it, let me know because there's really not much that would keep me from going! I'm meeting Mon tomorrow evening to discuss trip details and such, so I'll talk it over with her but I doubt she'd have a problem in visiting Edinburgh at a much lower budget than London. And also, I'D SEE YOU! Oh gosh, I don't think I'd realised it's been SO LONG since I was in Basel!
Thanks for the other tips, also. We need to look further into it, but we'll surely be getting an Oyster card or something of the sorts to get around London, and we're taking as many university/student credentials as possible to try and get discounts anywhere that's possible. I'm an Arts major, I should receive gifts at museums! (no, seriously, that would be awesome) We're still not sure how we're getting to Paris, if through the Eurotunnel (that's what you mean, right?) or.. some other way. Mon got an estimated budget from a travel agency but she still hasn't filled me in on the details and such so we might, or we might not. All depends on the money, really. Pounds are a bitch. Euros, too, but compared to pounds they're actually a nice sight. And if Viljami (HA. I REMEMBERED HIS NAME. I RULE.) knows of any tips or such that might be useful, that's always welcome! Fortunately we've got contact with quite a few people who've been/lived in both cities, between people we actually know and Mon's livejournal friends and you and stuff, so I think we'll be quite alright. :)
