You Are

Eyes aligned
Silouetting flawless symmetry
Lips that repeat themselves...
"a thousand times over"
Two tones of skin
Seem sewn and thin
And necks tied in knots
In a personal embrace
Eyes and hands and love
Thrown into a confusing,
Painted blend,
Of understatements.
A girl pinked with infatuation.

Bus Stop Blues

We gather with yesterday's fog
And todays misery
Dwelling beneath haloed street lights,
Above the wet cement,
Comparing fashion and the latest reason for living.
One by one,
We decorate street corners,
Clung to desperately by the fading night.
Then there is she,
Neither on the sidewalk,
Nor beyond it.
Hoping the day will not linger.
