Long time no update, I know. Things have been happening, and I haven't had time to rightly explain everything. Even this prolly won't be a good synopsis of what's going on.

There are 21 Days of College Left.

This weekend I went to Plano with Rebecca to see Hank and John Green of the Nerdfighters. It was quite fun. I read a whole book in five hours, there was autographing and picture taking and Wizrock-song-signing and funness.

I'm looking for a job like a maniac. I'm really hoping for a full time position at Texas Parks and Wildlife. There's a place open in IT which would be perfect for me, and it pays really well for a newly-grad. Send prayers my way, right?

Which means I'm not doing Nanowrimo. It's breaking my heart a little bit every day, but I've decided to forgoe my noveling frenzy in order to better secure my BA in English. I figure that it's better to be able to write for the rest of my life at my leisure than cram it all into one month and have to do an extra semester of college. Right?

This weekend I'm going to Padre to interview a really cool biologist for an article I'm working on for the TPWD magazine. I really want to impress my boss so that no matter what I do when I get a job finally, I can still freelance for the mag. Freelancing isn't incredibly lucrative, but I like to be busy, and lord knows that the extra money can't hurt.

My classes are all in utter chaos. I'm totally behind in half of them. I just need to pass. I just need to pass. I just need to pass...

But despite not nanoing, I am in fact still writing. Besides the article, I have a ten page story due for Humor on Wednesday, still do my weekly poetry meetings, and have my 25 page Capstone paper in the middle stages at the moment.

I've been more stressed than this before, and I'm not really worried about getting everything done...I just secretly am worrying about getting everything done in time for it to matter.

Also, I'm quitting Pluckers. Yeah. I haven't been to work in almost a month, I just keep giving up shifts. Then I missed all the required training classes last week. So I'm just going to quit. It was a long time coming. I don't think they'll be surprised. I may look for another part time job, but I'd like to be able to live on just the two jobs I have right now.

Wedding stuff is going well I suppose. I really need to get on those invitations. Crap.

I gotta get back to work. I only have 21 class days left.

classes, wedding, work, plucker's, writing, school, job search, nano, tpwd
