If you invite me somewhere, and say, "Hey, do you want to come do such and such with such and such and myself?"
Do you expect an honest answer?
Or would you rather I make up some lame excuse to get out of it?
Because apparently, "Not really, thankyou." is a rude, self-indulgent, agitated response to such questions.
Really, I should have said, "Sorry, I have to wash my hair," or "I think I might have to work, but I'll try and get out of it!" and then not deliver?
