6th grade
She's eleven,
He's twelve;
Thats when they fell in love,
Both thinking the other is from above.
She's twelve,
He's thirteen;
They wrote love notes to each other,
While she secretly hopes she'll be his children's mother.
She's thirteen,
He's fourteen;
He's off to high school;
All the while she hopes and prays,
That a high school girl won't take him away.
She's seventeen,
He's eighteen;
He tells her he wants to join the army;
She cries with the fear that he'll get sent over the sea,
And that their love will cease to be.
She's nineteen,
He's twenty;
She recieves a letter from the military;
She hopes the letter,
Is for the better;
As she opens the letter she sits on her bed,
The letter reads he is dead.
