(no subject)
so it's thursday and i'm at carnagie mellon university in pittsburgh, and i only have three more days here, and i'm kinda sad about it. but also whicked excited for the rest of the summer. i guess i'm just trying to live in the moment and not miss anything---i'll be doing that all summer--everything is going to be so amazing.
i have learned so much this week---it's absolutely ridiculous. and i have made the best friends, people all the way from california and south africa (S.A!!!!). everything that has happened has been so incredible, and i feel so encouraged by the talent and joy of the people around me----people who all love to play the flute like i do. i'm really considering doing a double major now----i don't ever want to give up learning and practicing and performing on my flute--i would miss it too much.
i also kinda wish carnagie mellon was a whole lot closer to home because the teachers here are AMAZING. jeanne baxtresser, alberto almarza, steven schultz-----these people are the epitomy of good flute playing. and if you don't believe me, get a hold of one of their cds. coming here would be crazy. plane flights are only like $100 one way.....
but anyway, i'll see you all on sunday---well probs not till monday since i'll get into manchester at like 10 pm sunday night.
