it's funny how some things just seem like the end of the world. like there's no getting around them. maybe that's what fear is...just that first reaction to something new. unexpected or known all along, just that first feeling of your heart racing and your face scrunching up and irrational thinking and feeling that there is some huge wall in front of you named "the news you just found out" that is keeping you from moving on to the rest of your life. maybe fear is just your brain and body getting used to your life with that new added detail that seemed so tragic. and then you come back to earth and realize that life does go on and you have to make a choice whether to somehow include that new tragic detail into your life, but build on it, and work around it. or you can just decide to let that detail ruin you for whatever reason and completely cut that section of your life off and try to replace it with something else. but those horrible things we are faced with are sometimes just mistakes and facts that we would be foolish for which to abandon everything. everything, i guess, seems like a big deal at first. then you remember what's important. and you get used to it and accept that that's a new aspect of your life that you just.have.to.deal.with. and you get over it and it's okay again.
