I haven't posted in a little while, but I have been reading all of your entries...
So the last time I posted was before my birthday. I had been on a twilight cruise and just had my weekend in Sydney. On the following Tuesday, I had my lunch at my great-uncle's. We brought my grandma home from the nursing home and had a yummy lunch and cake, and generally had a good time. The next day, my actual birthday, I went to work. Word got out that it was my 21st and a few customers actually gave me cards (one couple went home and made one on their computer), scratchie/lottery packs and I got 2 lots of flowers! I also got a choc/caramel mud cake and card signed by co-workers. Adrian and Marcus came to my work and we had lunch together. Marcus spoiled me with flowers and a cake and a gold '21' charm for my bracelet. Too bad there's no chemistry on my end because he is a really nice guy.
Then I went to Lisa Rae's on Friday, but being Good Friday nothing was open so I couldn't have my birthday lunch or pick out my present. So one day when Lisa Rae and I can both get a weekday off work together, she is going to buy me an
Akubra hat, which I think are really cool, and we're going to have a lunch at the club Steve's father owns, and she's taking me on a tour of her work (she works at at recyling plant. I know I'm boring, but she made it sound really interesting). Also, on Friday we picked out 2 1-month-old kittens for a friend of hers, who named them Maisie and Daisy, so we'll see how they're liking their new home.
I'll have to upload some pics soon! My parents bought me
this diamond ring for my birthday that Steve took a photo of with his new digicam, and Maisie and Daisy are soooo cute that I have to show them off!
So, what now? Life goes back to normal :( I've been feeling really tired and down since everything ended, and it's no wonder. I had the excitement of going to Queensland, then the excitement of my 21st celebrations and now... it's all over. Just the same old shitty routine of going to work, coming home and going through the motions. Sigh... I don't mean to sound so depressing. I'm so glad that I did have a great birthday and everyone was involved and had fun and made me feel special. But after all of the excitement... it's hard to go back to nothing.
