on with the quick and the painless:
1 Sarah is the most awesome airport employee ever. she brought me graters ice cream before my flight across the ocean.
2 other than business class, my seat was the best on the plane - right where economy and business divide. lots of leg-room. window seat, even. lovey-dovey bible-thumping couple to my left who were actually quite nice.
3 Charles De Gaulle Airport is the essence of evil. thanks, charles, for asking me to run across the earth to catch my next flight in 20 minutes. what a bastard. missed the flight at 930, caught the next one to Lyon at 130. the airport workers looked at me like i was retarded for missing my flight.
3 the next 24 hours are kind of hazy due to sleep deprivation.
4 met all the new CEA cats. way different from the last group, but still pretty cool. i think i lucked out with another cool roommate, too.
5 written/oral placement exam - my interviewer: (in french) Is that your natural hair color? me: (in french) uuuuh no. interviewer: (turns to collegue) isn't that a pretty color?! it matches so well with her eyes. collegue: yes! what a lovely combination! me: uh, thanks (blushing, yet thinking, can we move on to the next question, please?)
6 arrival at school at 830 in the morning to find that my 7AM alarm setting was quite unnecessary.
i have 8 minutes left on my internet account. zut.
