About the Pairing: What can I say about this pairing that hasn't been said by my fellow (amazing) shippers at dewitt_dominic. These two badasses have it all. Power-walking, eyesex, business suits, torture, angst, betrayal, sexiness. Adelle DeWitt and Laurence Dominic, they totally hate each other and it's worse cause they love each other too. You want proof: She doesn't want him to die and for a woman who claims to loathe Arizona she was pretty quick to suggest a repeat visit. Maybe Mr Dominic showed her the sunnier side of the state ♥ And by sunnier I mean sexier.
In all honesty I ship this so hard it's a submarine. It really took hold after Spy in the House of Love which was difficult because after that there wasn't much Dominic and is wrong because dollhouse!treason and mind wiping aren't necessarily a great foundation to build a loving relationship. What can I say? :) Sometimes love is just a little bit twisted.
About the mix: In terms of what this mix ~means~ It's based post SitHoL and then onwards to the end of the world. When I make a fanmix (I feel this could go on, please feel free to not read) I start with one song, a concept, or sometimes just a title. Then I make a playlist in iTunes and just fill it with songs as they come up (I am a big fan of listening to music on random) I pop them into the playlist. Then I cut them out to fit better after listening to them together and thinking about the lyrics. It's really cathartic. For this one I originally had 48 songs. LOL. Now I present you with the final ten.
What I have ended up with here is ten songs which fit the feel of the Thoughtpocalypse. That reflect DD's relationship, them individually and the concepts of the Dollhouse overall. All the songs are kind of folky-electronic-angstyness (Originally there was some happy songs but I got rid of them :D)
I have sort explained each song at in the middle I add some of my own idea about what happens which, in all likelihood, will be joss'd on Friday 29th January.
The picspams kind of do and kind of don't go with the chronology. I mostly just liked them :)

In the aftermath of their confrontation Adelle cries. For everything she has lost. (Almost everything Portishead do reminds me of this pairing.)

Mr Dominic in the attic and he can't escape her.
Three. Into the Ink ~ The Jezabels

This song is so Adelle and so DD. Things start to get more and more difficult in the Dollhouse, Adelle has a lot of choices to make and Mr Dominic wont be there for her anymore.

When I saw you stuck in a rut again?
Oh, that drink went down smoothly,
Just like the one before the last you had.]
Adelle gets Dominic out of the attic but not in his own body. They are taunting each other, the bitterness haunts them both.

Rossum's grip tightens and Adelle loses balance. Dominic's words haunt her.

Adelle goes back to the Dollhouse to retrieve Mr Dominic.

There is so much betrayal between them, but there is also something else they can't deny.

The resentment is still bubbling beneath but they move forward together.

I find this song so strangely hopeful. It's the end of the world but there is happiness to be fond together ♥ (on a boat ;D)
