Wall the First

This place was sublimely unfair, Kyon thought, flopping down on the bed. Especially the mistletoe, which he swore had extrasensory powers of finding him whenever Haruhi was in range. He had wondered, once or a hundred times, if it was actually her doing, but after the second time had decided that if that was true, her subconscious was terribly cruel. The DO NOT WANT faces were simply too varied and vehement to be anything other than genuine. Why, he asked himself, did it have to be Haruhi? Couldn't it have been Asahina, someone he actually wanted to kiss, who would just blush prettily and make that cute little noise under the effects of mistletoe, instead of kicking him in the face and then pressing him up against the wall--or had that been the mistletoe? He really couldn't say. In any case, she had managed to look decidedly pissed even while attempting to kiss him into the side of his cabin. And the expression of surprise when he had picked her up and spun her into the wall had almost been--well, all right, it had been attractive. But yare-yare, the consequences. A trip into null-space wasn't even the worst of it.
Kyon sighed, a great whuffing Irish Setter sigh, and watched out the window as Haruhi the chihuahua attempted in vain to savage Marluxia's ankles.
