So, I have decided I am not a person who is supposed to live alone. Why? Let me list the reasons:
- I left my oven on all weekend.
- Once, I fell asleep with the door to my apartment wide open. Granted, I thought Nathan closed it when he was leaving, but honestly, what kind of person doesn't check that? The only reason I knew it was open is because the upstairs neighbor called Kim to make sure I was still alive.
- I don't cook OR grocery shop, so my diet consists of Ding Dongs for breakfast and delicacies from Chef Boyardee for all other meals.
- I'm not a big fan of cleaning. My refrigerator has food in it that expired in January. Luckily, I don't use the fridge.
- When I'm alone for a long time, I get lonely and needy. I end up calling Nathan approximately seventeen times a day because I get bored.
- I miss my dog more than I miss my family; for this reason, I go home two or three times a week to play with him.
- I spend the money for my electric bill on shoes and crap from Target.
So, there you have it. My parents raised a well-rounded child, except in areas of common sense and fiscal responsibility.
In other news, I am nannying for my cousins in Phoenix for the first couple of weeks in May. I'm leaving right after I get out of school and coming back around the 19th. It should be pretty easy, because they'll still be in school during the day, will have baseball practice at night, and are reportedly really into TV. I guess I'll just have to hang out by the pool, help my grandma cook/clean, and drive them to practices and games. The only downside of it is that there are big tarantulas where they live. They see them "regularly." I'm terrified of bugs and spiders, especially massive ones. I really hope that there is a tarantula family reunion in Texas or something, so they'll all leave the state. Otherwise, I'm going to pee my pants if I see one. I can't crush one, because I know I would be haunted by the feeling of crushing its exoskeleton for the rest of my life. Basically, let's hope I never see one, ever.
Does anyone even read these anymore? Maybe it would be nice for someone to post? Please? I'm holding out hope that this mode of communication isn't dead yet.
