Today was a really happy day. I felt wonderful for almost the entire day, except after facing an arrogant ass from Chaminade. Luckily, his extreme right-wing views led to his downfall. (I actually ended up winning that debate and being the only person to do so against him, thereby ruining his chances at a trophy. Hahaha, serves the bastard right.)
So, last night I stayed up until 1 AM working on my debate speeches. Then I woke up at 6:30 and by 8:00 I was on a bus to a debate tournament at Kellenburg High School with Brendan, Ruth, Enrico, Dan, and Mr. Gatto. That school is magnificent. The most amazing thing to me was that they had two peacocks living in the atrium and a huge-ass koi pond. I competed in four debates and was given my scores at the end of the day, after the awards ceremony. I faced two assholes from Chaminade, one boy who had no idea what to do, and a girl who was really awesome when she wasn't threatening my life. I lost to the first Chami, defeated the confused boy, defeated the second Chami, and defeated the last girl. In the girl's rebuttal, she made a hypothetical situation and she said, "If a murder were to occur in this room and there were two witnesses...[blah blah blah]." And I felt very threatened. Both Chamis were really arrogant - particularly the second one. I don't feel like explaining, but they both made me really angry and one judge said I showed this fact too much. Hehe. I finished 3-1, 18th place out of 104 novices...four below the qualification mark. Errr. Brendan and Enrico both won trophies. Woohoo! You guys rock! :) I did so much better than I expected to considering it was my very first time debating. Happiness.
Afterwards, I rushed home, changed, and went straight to Kevin's house for corn-maze fantabulousity with Elise, Caitlyn, Kevin, and Steph. By this time, I was beyond exhaustion, so that made me really hyper. We had pizza and went to the haunted house/corn maze thing. It wasn't that great. The haunted house was pretty cool, but I just don't get scared by that type of stuff. The corn maze...wasn't a maze. It was just a winding path...there were no choices in what direction you could go, and that really sucked. The car rides were the most entertaining part. "If you mixed Enrico and Brendan...it would be Brenrico!" Ah, Kevin. That was so random.
P.S.- I am madly in love with a boy who is very cute and very intelligent and I love him and we're getting married immediately and there will be peacocks at our wedding and he can't see this but I still won't say his name so ha. /end crazed run-on sentence
Why the hell am I still awake and functioning?
