Noddy in Toyland
It is hot and humid in Torino. Just like in North Carolina, which means that at the very least it is a familiar thing. Except that air conditioning has not yet been invented in Italy. So it is always hot and humid everywhere you go. People walk along the streets like zombies.
I am too cheap to buy a pair of shorts. I am also too cheap to buy a pair of sandals. I have been wearing my orange bathing trunks everyday for the past three weeks, and when I go out I wear my little boy brown shoes without socks. I look like a cartoon character.
