Bubblegum-smacking, flitting around happily, body vibrating with caffeine, face caked with blush --
(my papery lips crackle as I smile, my joints squeak as I walk, my head aches)
I am weary of this drunken giddiness, I am.

Peel the bandaid off my thigh; my cut is throbbing with an urgency
I have not seen in a long time.
