Surprising
Can it be true that I haven't posted since like May? That's just a little too nuts. But it seems like lately (and by lately I guess I mean the last 6+ months!) I've just been distracted...or something. Today is Monday, December 10, 2007 and as of 10:30am I will not have to work until next year, which I have to say is pretty darn exciting. I've NEVER had a 3 week vacation before - I usually take vacation time in chunks, but this year I saved it all - mainly because I don't like sticking people with my work at work and I dread coming back to work after being out - even if it's only been a day of me being gone - and I just like to save my vacation time in general. Needless to say, excited as I am about all this time of not working - and I've not even been on vacation a full day yet, I'm ALREADY DREADING GOING BACK TO WORK. I know that's REALLY sad to say, but I feel like I have no time off and it's going to go by sooo fast and going back is going to suck - having to deal with all the stuff from when I was gone is going to be a PAIN!
Other news...
I had contemplated taking my sister's puppy that she has because she can't handle the puppy and, let's face it, she doesn't like animals much....but my place is rather small and my landlord said he would charge me an additional depost and raise my rent....and with all that, my mom and her husband said that if I didn't take the puppy, they would because they didn't want it to go back to the shelter, either - so it became an easy decision since I know he will have a good home....and they have 2 other dogs, as well - I went over there this weekend and he was doing great!
Other news...
My sister had a baby at the end of October - a little boy - so I'm an aunt again. This is the first boy in our family so it's a little weird...but he's so sweet.
Other news...
I just finally bought the newest Gwen Stefani cd this weekend - Saturday, I believe. I really had no inclination to get this cd because I didn't think it could live up to the first cd - but it's actually rather good and I'm glad I bought it. I'm also pretty excited to get Bourne Ultimatum and Harry Potter tomorrow!!!

I need to CHRISTMAS SHOP!
I'm completely slacking...and this crappy weather does not help - all it makes me want to do is stay inside and cozy up with a mug o' hot chocolate.
Other news...
I'm going to see WICKED this weekend...I'm kind of excited and kind of freaked out at the same time. I have this irrational fear of the Wizard of Oz and I don't really know what to expect with this...but I've heard it's SOOO GREAT that I want to give it a try.
Everything else is alright - family is doing great - friends are good.
There's other drama to speak of in the past 6+ months, but why do it now.
We're here on December 10th and that's really all that matters.
