We didn't get those other trailers. We got Man on Fire, and it's, like, the third time I've seen the preview and it still doesn't make sense to me. And Fahrenheit 911. Wow, comparing trailers is heaps exciting! :D
Nooo there's something strange in Man on Fire with the guy and the girl and he protects her or she's protecting him and then they kidnap her and then he dies or something?! The trailer is bloody long enough, yet doesn't make sense. I'm sure there are plenty of Random Explosions, though.
It's the new Michael Moore documentary, about the government in the wake of September 11, I believe. Dymocks sent me an invitation to a free screening and I was all, hurrah, free!! But I will be away and thus if I want to be a self-aware, free-thinking citizen I suppose I will have to pay.
Saw Man On Fire because my brother said "it's the best movie I've seen all year!". Um, yeah. You know how some people have a cup of coffee before they head off to work in the morning? I think the director of this movie sat down with a crystal meth/heroin/crack cocktail before the start of each shooting day. The direction is out of control. I think he had a list of hundreds of different camera tricks and it was his mission in life to use all of them in this film.
