oh man. I'm so glad ben folds was born.

so we went to the concert last night at millersville university in amish country PA. it was actually a really nice drive through the country. and we saw amish buggies. anyway, we got to the concert and we got awesome seats...it was directly across from where ben was sitting at his piano. the arena was really kind of small too, which was awesome. enough people to do all the singing along in "army" "not the same" and "where's summer b?", but not so many that it was overwhelming. and there was barely any waiting for him to get on, which was great. and I liked the crowd there.

anyway. ben. oh man. he was just so good. he was hilarious. and he played a lot of his new songs on the new cd coming out. (the song "jesus land" is a really good one.) he took requests and played "emaline", "the luckiest" and "army" all in a row.

he then played his b side to landed, "bitches ain't shit". my god. I love that man.

and um, here's a lot of the songs he played, in no order at all:
zak and sara
cooler than you
philosophy
emaline
the luckiest
army
gone
carrying cathy
where's summer b?
not the same (he fake closed with this, and it was awesome)
one angry dwarf (he encore closed with this one, and it was also awesome)
rockin the suburbs
eddie walker
landed
bitches ain't shit
a lot of songs from his new cd....I don't remember most of the titles

in conclusion: ben folds can rock a piano like no other, and that's awesome.
