...I'm sorry, are we allowing non-humans on the scrolls these days?

Your giant, Mr. Dumbledore.

I don't own a giant, Miss Umbridge.

Then who owns that lumbering bulk in your grounds, Mr. Dumbledore?

No one owns Mr. Hagrid, Dolores.

Oh, a wild one? You should have informed the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures at once, Mr. Dumbledore.

Who I employ is none of your business, Dolores. He is not a lumbering creature, as you so put it, nor is he fodder for your own personal amusement.

I can assure you that I am not amused, Mr. Dumbledore. I would have thought that the security and safety of your students was important to you, and yet you surround them with dangerous elements.

Did Hagrid kill your puppy, Dolores?

You seem to hold an unnatural grudge against my grounds keeper.

I am glad that you are enjoying this, Dumbledore. Rest assured that I will be writing a stern letter to the officals of the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures about your relaxed stance on this important matter.

I have nothing against your grounds keeper. I am simply against him being a dangerous grounds keeper.

As an educator, I'm very happy to hear you're continuing your support of literacy even after you have left school.

He is not a dangerous grounds keeper.

I will also be informing the school governors about this matter.

He is a giant, is he not? They are classified under dangerous level 'XXXXX', in the revised code of magical creatures. Possesion of one outside their habitat can earn you quite a stay in Azkaban, whereas the creature will be put down with expediency.

In hopes of what? Do you think they've been walking around the school with blindfolds on and earplugs in? They know of Mr. Hagrid. He's been here for twenty some-odd years, it's not a new development.

You paid attention in Care of Magical Creatures, impressive, but you missed a very important detail. He is half giant. A fact-finding person like yourself should have remembered this.
