Something is amiss.
Given the recent wave of murders and disappearances in our community, security is now at the forefront of the Ministry's mind.
...Unfortunately, I find some of the ministry's measures rather short.
I understand that we need more peacekeepers, but is it really important to raise aurors' wages? Perhaps we can employ more aurors and keep them all at the same pay.
And 'cooperation', as nice as it sounds, is not enough for me. I find that certain institutions in the community should willingly give the ministry authority to check their staff and install Ministry Approved surveillance.
I suggested all this during the meeting and it was met with nods of approval. I don't understand why people should feel the need to write 'Slavery is Freedom' and 'Big Brother is watching' on my cubicle walls. If this is some kind of joke, it's not a very mature one.
Similarly, Miss Nivette Moore of the Daily Prophet called me a fascist. You try to write that on your paper, and I will sue for libel.
