*smiles as she sits down in front of her computer, rubbing the sleep from her eyes*

Is this a private spam or can anyone join in?

Gary, I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but I'm going back to LA after Tony's show.

Helena, Tony and Gary convinced me to stay till April 1st, let's go shopping today, and we should invite Renee too, please!

I was just checking my email. I get the news delivered there, since I never know where I'll be, but my laptop is always with me. *smiles* Do you remember the movie The Lost Boys with Corey Haim? Well the guy who played his brother, Jason Patric, was arrested after a drunken episode. Since Helena, Sean, and I all love to have a drink or several, I thought it would be a good spam discussion.

From IMDB.com:
Hollywood actor Jason Patric has been arrested after a drunken encounter with police in Austin, Texas. The Alamo star, 37, was arrested after challenging police to test him for drunkenness in the early hours of Monday morning. Police spokesman Kevin Buchman says there is no test administered for public intoxication and officers only need to have suspicion.

According to police, Patric took an aggressive stance when they tried to arrest him, and shoved an officer. Patric was booked on misdemeanor charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest. He was taken to the Travis County Jail and released five hours later. A statement from the actor's publicist Michelle Bega says, "(Patric) believes he has done nothing wrong. He hopes for a rapid resolution to clear his name."

*pouts* You'll have to go shopping without me, love, I have to work!

I hate to see you leave so soon - you will come by the hotel after the show, won't you?

I understand why you're leaving, but just don't forget that I am here for you, as is Renee.

Re: your article - I think too many celebrities trade upon their famous names to get out of something which would get other people arrested. The lesson here, of course, is - don't drink and drive!

But my question is, how did they know he was intoxicated if they didn't test him in any way? That sounds suspicious! Is that what people in Texas are like? Ohmygod, what do I have to look forward to when Renee's father comes into LA next month?

*grin* Someone has to work around here.

Have you had a chance to talk to Renee? I know you are both here for me, but that's not why I'm leaving.I'm leaving because I have a film festival to prepare for, interviews to do, and conventions I have to attend, but there is one in England at the end of April, so I'll be back.

I can't speak for Texan's... I'm not sure about Jason either. Maybe he was very belligerent?
