Well, I must say, Friday's small rehearsal was a lot less rambunctious than the previous ones. Which was certainly a relief; I don't always know my spells are going to go off as planned, and I am out of practice. But it seems to have worked, peace reigned in the auditorium, and I feel much more positive about our production being a success. Thank ( Read more... )

I give her a look. "No, I'm fine. You're just a bossy wench. Does Jordan know about this?" Then I relent and smile; sometimes she takes things seriously.

I pick up the phone. "I dunno, I may get rid of it anyway. Not like anyone ever calls me on it."

I give Stefan a sideways glance. "Well, they might if you gave them the number," I point out, with a grin.

I turn to Taffy, wondering how on earth she's managed to attach herself to all the attractive men in town. "Hi, Taffy. Congrats on the successful dispossession. And you don't need to be all strange about it, I've had run-ins with ghosts before. In fact, I thought we had one in the auditorium a few weeks ago, but it hasn't made a reappearance."

I raise an eyebrow at Heather's comment, and then say to Taffy, "Probably. I plan to have several more before we go. And like I'm not gonna worry, c'mon. You should know me better by now." I smirk at her.

"My car's outside, if you need a ride," I offer. "And I'm only on my second, which is quite enough for me."

I smile over at Taffy. "Nuts? Well, I also took a teaching job at Sunnydale High, so we might both be in the same boat on that one. Stefan told me the new music teacher is your boyfriend?"

It's cute when she starts acting like she's twelve, but I don't wanna tease her about it in front of Heather, so I just give her a look so she knows she'll hear about it later. If I don't get completely drunk and forget, that is.

"We'd love a ride home," I tell Heather. "That just means I can drink more." I signal Willy for another.

Again I see the movement out of the corner of my eye, but Stefan's comment diverts my attention. Ookay, maybe I'm better off he's unavailable--I hope he doesn't drink so much he vomits in my car. If only he wasn't so yummy. "Oh no problem, I certainly don't mind giving you two a lift."

I nod at Taffy. "Hazardous...yes, there was something awfully familiar about the way the writing teacher just disappeard like that. That sort of thing happened all the time when I was in school."

I snicker. "Let's not." The whole scenario seems very funny to me, and I don't seem to have a stop on my mouth. "I bet between the two of ya, you could put me to bed."

I pause. "You think?"

I eye the two of them. That was flirting, but I'm honestly not sure if it was directed at me or Taffy. A smile twitches the corner of my mouth and I say, "I'm sure we could, but if we had to, you wouldn't be much use once we got you there."
