if i had a magical ring that turned me invisible, i would do unjust acts. now, not having said ring, i'd say i was on the side of justice. however, if i did have the ring i would do what i wanted. seriously, who wouldnt? so i guess i agree with Glaucon. that was easy. now to explain myself in 500 words.
the entire time i was reading this i kept thinking about Heroes. no matter what side they're on everyone has used their abilities for something evil, something they couldn't do before the abilities manifested. i think that's what Syler's been trying to tell everyone. take Parkman for instance, he thinks by reading the bad people's mind or putting thoughts into their minds, he is in some way doing a just act. he's helping the good guys to defeat the bad guys. however, he was never welcomed therefore, he took what wasnt his to benefit himself. which is an unjust act. so justice is not good, it just a lesser of two evils. two wrongs do not make a right.
whoa. either i completely understand this passage, or i just got really off topic. oh well. im done school work for now
[Edit: i wonder if i can use Heroes as an explain in my paper?]
