Good Morning:Hawk and Trudy

Aug 13, 2004 22:48

Waking up with his love in his arms, Hawk smiled and pulled her closer. It felt as if he hadn't moved all night long, but he was well rested. He pressed his face into her hair and inhaled, the clean scent of her soap mixed with a smell that could not be pin pointed, something that just made him think of her, well it did things to his body, things ( Read more... )

Hawk gently stroked her jawline with his finger, tilting her face up and giving her a kiss, "You've got a good perception of right and wrong, real and not real, don't think you've slipped back into anything Trudy, you're a strong woman," he hoped she wasn't doubting herself about her time with the Chosen again. So many people had been mad at her for her involvement, he remembered they still tossed it into her face even though she was trying to be a better person now. She was one of the strongest women he knew and he wouldn't have her saying otherwise.

He held her close as she came near, her chest pressed against his felt so warm and soft, and he ran his hand up and down her back. He'd washed before he'd left camp, but they didn't have running water, mostly streams, towel baths, but even now, next to her, he could tell how dirty he was. Her milky white skin smelled so fresh and clean, even after last night, he wanted to kiss and suck every inch of her flesh. He was lost for her, "I think I have an idea," he replied with a smile. "I love you, Trudy, and I love being with you," he said softly, pressing another kiss to her lips. "Do you suppose we should get up and check on the wee one? She must be hungry, I've brought my own food for my journey, but I will sit with you at your breakfast," he said firmly, closing his eyes and inhaling the scent of her again.

Trudy was so content to feel Hawk against her. For so long, she felt as though she would never find anyone she trusted again. Hawk changed everything for her. He made her feel secure, safe, loved and he even looked out for Brady as if she was his own. Trudy felt relieved to hear those words from Hawk. It was nice to have him here with her, feeling so much support for the things she did. She wished there might be a way to have him stay...but she knew he wouldn't or couldn't last in the city.

"Hawk, I'm so glad to hear that you're wanting to eat breakfast with me. Everyone is going to be so glad to see you, especially Brady. I'm not quite sure if she'll be in her room or not. We got to bed quite late last night so we probably slept in a bit this morning. Knowing Brady, she's probably been up for hours in search of an early morning playmate. We'll check before we leave though." Trudy rolled to her feet as she got out of bed. She threw on a quick outfit and turned to the area that separated her room from Brady's. "Brady honey, you in there?"

Hawk reluctantly let Trudy out of his grasp, moving out of the bed and finishing dressing. When he'd put on the last accessory he turned, watching as Trudy went to the curtain, calling for Brady. He felt a nervously excited feeling in his stomach, he couldn't wait to see her face when she saw him, he knew he looked the same way when Trudy and Brady would surprise the Eco's and show up at the camp. But no answer came and Hawk looked worried. Where could Brady be?

"You're right, Trude, she must have gotten up earlier, do you think she's ok?" Hawk hadn't ever really been here except before the last Techno battle, which he heard afterwards was a success and that the Technos had fallen. The last time he was in the Mall, however, Brady had been snatched, though that was at his own Eco camp. He fisted his hands as he thought of this, but turned to take his mind off of it and check his tribal markings. The Eco Leader couldn't go out and be seen not well put together. He fixed the green Eco hand on his cheek and checked his dreads weren't wildly out of place before turning back to Trudy. "Shall we check the Cafe then?"

Trudy turned to Hawk, "Oh, I'm sure she's fine Hawk..probably playing with Mouse or something. We haven't really had any threatening situations around here in a while, knock on wood so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about." Trudy finished putting on the rest of her clothes and accessories and turned to Hawk again. "So..are you ready to eat then? Everyone's going to be so excited to see you."

Trudy glanced around the room to make sure everything was in its place before she left. Her heart was beating rather quickly knowing that Hawk was going to be seeing everyone..and meeting some for the first time. She turned to grab his hand. "Let's head out." Trudy gave him a quick kiss and headed toward out.

Hawk felt nervous, it wasn't a feeling he often indulged in, for to him it translated into fear, no matter how great or small the fear was, he was still afraid. That was when he reminded himself that a great leader wasn't one that was fearless, but one that recognized their fears and faced them head on, thinking through the consequences of the actions of facing their fears. Hawk's jaw twitched, this was no battle, he wasn't headed into a war, this was joining friends for breakfast, no matter the fact that he had bad news. He reminded himself that not only would he get to see Little Bird soon, but Eagle, as well as Danni, would be there, at least, he hoped. Seeing old friends calmed his nerves, and he smiled and nodded softly at Trudy. He grabbed his rucksack by the doorway on their way out of the room, his food was in there, along with other things he'd need if he told Eagle of the demise of their friend. Hawk pushed the curtain to the side and followed Trudy to the Extra Cafe.
