t-minus two days until christmas.
It's finally vacation and I could not be happier. This past week has been terrible. Everyone has been so antsy and I couldn't bring myself to do any work. Yesterday I went all the way downtown after school with Kat and Michael to go to some Lincoln Douglas debate thing. It took me a good two hours to get home because I had to take the R to the Q88 and it was awful. I'm glad I went though, just to say that I had actually gone. The past few days have basically been filled with a few holiday parties and tests here and there.
Tonight we all exchanged Secret Santa gifts at Ilana's house. Hallie got me a Lucky shirt, but the best part of my gift was when she put pictures of Cher all over the box. She has some phobia of Cher and since my dad accidentally got me her greatest hits for my birthday sophomore year, it's been a huge inside joke ever since. I was really worried that DanielSilverman wouldn't like his American Eagle sweatshirt, but he did, thankfully. Susan didn't believe me that he would tell me if he didn't like it, but he confirmed it to her. We all had a really good time at Ilana's, watching Little Miss Sunshine. Ilana cooked for us and everyone liked the cupcakes I made. Simon told Ilana he'd pay her $10 to dance for an hour straight. She went for half an hour but eventually gave up. It was actually very entertaining.
I'm really looking forward to just relaxing this vacation and spending a few days in Boston. It'll probably do me some good to spend some time away. Things have been pretty hectic lately and some down time is definitely necessary. I can just relax and watch The Office all week, not such a bad deal.
