As of this very moment, I can honestly and truly say that I have never wanted to go back so school as much as I do right now. And it's not really 'wanting,' per say, but more like NEEDING to go back.
I really think this past week shouldn't even count in life.
Really really.
I spent one entire week of my senior year of highschool dragging tree branches around the yard and raking. Thank you, Wilma.
On a lighter note, we have a 6-foot-tall "fortress wall," as I like to call it, in front of our house, consisting entirely of branches and logs, which serve as reinforcement on the bottom of the wall. I like to think that the wall will keep cars from careening into our front yard. Not that that's happened before, but, you know, just in case it does.
I am unbelievably bored. I've done umpteen things today, and yet I feel like I haven't done enough. And this time change isn't helping any, either. It feels like it should be much later than it really is. But no, it's only a quarter after eight. I could be composing the rest of my admissions essay to PBA, but I don't feel like writing right now. No, scratch that- I don't feel like typing. Oddly enough, I'm sitting here typing this. Go figure.
I've decided I only like hurricanes if it's barely out of the tropical storm category, and a day or two off from school is guaranteed, not merely hoped for. Single days off are much better than a whole week (or more). And I will never take electricity for granted again. Five days without power is no good at all. Thank God for generators, and thank God we got the power back.
I feel like I'm waiting for something exciting to happen. But nothing's happening.
I hate this stage....being in limbo. *sigh*
Oh well. Maybe I'll type my essay now. Or something. But for now, I leave my non-existent readers with a quote from The Princess Bride:
"Good night, Westley. Good work today. I'll most likely kill you in the morning."
: )
