Yay! A non-emo post!
There is, of course, bad news but the good news greatly outweighs the bad.
Bad news:
1) Diane, my district manager for almost three years and friend is no longer my district manager. That royally sucks >< I'm gonna miss Diane but hopefully she won't mind if I call her from time to time.
2) Marshall is the new DM. 'nough said.
Good news:
1) I got promoted! Woo! Freaking finally! I am now the ASM to EB Games Store 5238.
2) I got a WAY bigger raise than I expected. I guess that although EB Games got taken over my Gamestop, they still have their pay scale. I was actually gonna quit Gamestop and go to EB Games because of that.
I just told Chris (who is a Gamestop ASM) how much I am getting paid. His reponse: "That's such bullshit. I've worked here for four years and I get the shaft."
If I hadn't been sitting down when Dave told me my new pay I would have fallen over. Instead I just stared at him and said, "No way. You're shitting me." "Why would I joke about your pay?" "Oh my God. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!" I almost jumped up and hugged him.
3) Sara got my old position. Hells ya! Now I'll have a friend at work. Actually, truth being told, I consider most of the employees friends. Dave, Stu, Pip, Meesho, and Bo = friends. Pierce, Rey, Michelle = I don't know well enough to be friends.
I stopped by today to see how Dave was doing and to drop off a DVD. Things are...interesting. I'm glad talking to me makes him feel better. He's starting to build up some anger and he should be mad. This isn't justified >
