I got up this morning, thinking I was going to have a relatively relaxing day off. (Why yes, I do get those on occasion, why do you ask?). Anyhow, I went out into my yard to do a few small things, and discovered that the neighborhood delinquents had decided to hit my house.
On the front of my home are ... or were ... two light fixtures. One by the front door, the other by the garage. Each fixture is actually quite simple - basically a black oval, with a clear glass globe to protect the lightbulbs.
This morning, both fixtures are missing their globes and their bulbs - leaving two gaping black masses with their bulb sockets sticking out like a fish's open mouth.
So, I now find myself having to go hunting to see if I can find a couple of new light fixtures (and bug lights ... those things are expensive!), preferably something with a day/night detector so that I don't have to fiddle them on and off myself.
All this because a couple of neighborhood kids decided it would be fun to hear the sound of glass breaking on the road. (The remains of at least one globe are all of a few paces from my home...@$$h*!e$...)
