It's a paradox to be sure.
I realise that a problem many new Christians probably face is daring to be different, to do things that they know please God but make no sense to Man. Because, it is radical, draws attention to you, and through you, brings Him glory. The problem lies in self-doubt/knowledge. Because if you're not able to keep it up, you come across as a hypocrite, or worse, you disgrace Him, and serve as a horribly bad testimony. So we often find it "safer" to be "low key". But if you don't train yourself to become comfortable doing such stuff part of your spiritual growth is impeded and, in a way, you're still the old "you" that was supposed to have died.
What do you think? (Incidentally, not addressed to the generic reader, but one...possible reader in particular. But any reader is welcome to reply too, if he/she feels inclined to.)
